Organic Tapioca Syrup is an all-natural sweetener widespread throughout the food and beverage manufacturing industry. This clear to light yellow syrup, known as the DE 42 variety (Dextrose Equivalent with a range of 38-48), is extracted from the starch of the Cassava Root with a neutral flavor profile exhibiting mild sweetness. Non-GMO tapioca syrup is commonly used as an alternative sweetener to sugar, molasses, honey, and especially corn syrup and other glucose syrups as a label-friendly replacement. Tapioca syrup is a high viscosity dense liquid used as a thickening agent in dressings, beverages, smoothies, and jams. Other applications include cereal bars and granola products, dessert sauces and condiments, and a wide variety of candies, gum, and baked goods.
