Emulsifying wax is in white pastille form, widely used in personal-care and cosmetic formulations to bind oils and water-based ingredients together, providing greater stability in finished goods. Emulsifiers allow a recipe to remain homogenous and consistent, creating a creamy, smooth texture in the end-product such as in toners, creams, lotions, sunscreens, and body butters. A vegetable derived wax, the NF in its name implies it conforms to specifications of the National Formulary standard. In addition to the cosmetic industry, emulsifying wax is procured for industrial applications to manufacture sealants, lubricants, polishes, and coatings.
