Daikon seed extract is expeller-pressed from the seeds of the daikon radish, Raphanus sativus. It is a clear light-yellow oil exhibiting a minimal characteristic aroma. Daikon seed extract is 100% natural while having a distinctive texture comparable to silicones and emollient esters. This material has a unique composition compared to other seed extracts, comprised of C18, C20, and C22 fatty acids. Daikon seed extract is a preferred raw material due to its ability to absorb well into the skin without leaving an overly greasy residue, a highly desired trait for personal-care formulations.
