DESCRIPTION
Organic Certified Corn oil is expeller-pressed from the germ of corn, botanical name Zea Mays Germ oil. As a fully refined raw material, this organic corn oil yields a bland aroma and clear yellow appearance, promoting its versatility in formulations. Corn oil is naturally high in linoleic and oleic fatty acid content with a high smoke point around 450 °F, suitable for high-heat food preparations in the culinary and food manufacturing industry. Additional culinary applications include baking, salad dressings, marinades, and as an ingredient in the production of margarine. Outside of food manufacturing, corn oil may be used in soapmaking, biodiesel, paints, and coatings
