Organic Litsea cubeba oil is extracted from the small pepper like fruits of the Asian litsea cubeba tree, an evergreen also known as May Chang. Rich in citral content, the oil carries a citric spicy aroma and is transparent and yellow in color. Organic Litsea cubeba oil is commonly used in perfumes, soaps, shampoos and cosmetic formulations for its refreshing sweet citrus scent. The oil’s pleasant, uplifting aroma is similar to lemongrass with a sweeter underlying note. Aromatherapists find that organic litsea cubeba mixes well with many other essential oils and routinely use it for it’s believed calming properties.
