Sales Tax Policy

For questions, please contact us at info@jedwardsnaturaloils.com

1. Overview

Jedwards Natural Oils is committed to complying with all applicable state and local tax laws in the United States. This Sales Tax Policy outlines when and how we apply sales tax to your purchases.

2. Where We Collect Sales Tax

We collect state and local sales tax on orders shipped to states where we are legally required to do so. Sales tax is applied based on:

  • The shipping destination of your order

  • State and local tax rates in effect at the time of your purchase

  • Product taxability under each state’s laws

We currently collect sales tax in states where we have either:

  • A physical nexus (e.g., office, warehouse, or employees), or

  • An economic nexus as defined by that state (typically based on sales volume or number of transactions)

3. How Sales Tax Is Calculated

Sales tax is automatically calculated at checkout using the most up-to-date tax rates based on your shipping address.

Sales tax may apply to:

  • Product subtotal

  • Shipping and handling (depending on state law)

  • Discounts or promotions (in certain jurisdictions)

We partner with certified tax calculation software to ensure tax rates are current and accurate.

4. Tax-Exempt Customers

If you are a reseller, non-profit, or otherwise tax-exempt organization, you must provide valid documentation (e.g., resale or exemption certificate) before placing your order.

To request tax exemption:

  1. Email your exemption certificate to info@jedwardsnaturaloils.com

  2. Wait for approval before placing an order

  3. Once approved, you may place orders without being charged sales tax

5. Changes in Tax Laws

Tax laws are complex and frequently changing. We will update our tax collection practices as required by federal, state, and local legislation or regulatory changes.

6. Responsibility of the Customer

If we do not collect sales tax on your order and your state requires you to pay a use tax on out-of-state purchases, it is your responsibility to report and remit that tax directly to your state’s tax authority.
